This lightweight, variable-speed pistol-grip shear cuts 14 gauge C.R. mild steel and most grades of stainless to 16 gauge.
Double-insulated, the 5 AMP KD-440 cuts at over 150 inches per minute. Leaves a clean cut in metal without warping or bending your material. Tool is perfect for one hand accuracy in following a straight line.
If you have attended one of our workshops, you have seen Ron, Dan and Jeff using one of these indispensable shears to cut metal quickly. Again, a Kett shear is great, affordable option to consider if you don't own a drop shear.
Replacement blades available, Kit # KD-106, $45.50

The MetalAce 44F U-weld English Wheel Kit
This kit provides all the components necessary to build the popular 44F, a go-anywhere wheeling machine to meet all your metal shaping needs. Use the supplied blueprints to build a replica of our frame, or add your own creativity and customize your frame and use our high quality wheels and components.
The included screw lift assembly has a quick-release cam mechanism that lowers the anvil yoke with a 90 degree rotation of the handle. This makes it easy to get the material out and return back to the original pressure setting, plus the anvils can be changed quickly in this fashion. The anvil yoke has precision adjustments on both sides of the axle support to true the anvil with the top wheel. (Material for the frame is not included.)
Check out the wheel designed by Jeff Fournier and built by one of our workshop students using this kit!
INCLUDES:
(6) 3 inch wide anvil wheels: Flat, 2.5, 3.75, 6.0, 12.0, and 24.0 inch radii
8 x 3 inch upper wheel
Jack, kick wheel, yoke, and hardware
Floor casters

John Glover has done a tremendous job of describing and illustrating techniques refined and perfected over a lifetime of unparalleled metal shaping successes in The Practical Sheet Metal Worker.
The book is divided into sections that include working the edges of metal parts, like beading, forming a wire edge and turning a flange. There is also a wealth of information on shrinking, tucking and heat shrinking. A section on making louvers is particularly helpful. The 'finishing touches' described in the book can enhance any metal shaping project, from basic to very advanced. Happily, John covers metal fabrication details and fine points in true English form - with excellent clarity and exquisite attention to detail.
Antique race cars, motorcycle gas tanks, aircraft parts and many other projects are all covered. Readers will enjoy John's perspective and personal touch along with intriguing information from days gone by. It’s full of valuable information about the hand forming of metal parts used in restoration, prototype, race and custom cars.
